Getting here

Ebberston sits directly on the A170, the main road between Pickering and Scarborough along the southern edge of the North York Moors.

By car

  • On the A170 between Pickering (about 6 miles west) and Scarborough (about 11 miles east).
  • Malton and the A64 lie to the south.

By bus

  • The 128 (Scarborough–Pickering–Helmsley) runs along the A170 and serves the village.
  • Check the operator's current timetable before travelling — we don't publish times here.

By rail

  • Nearest stations are Malton or Scarborough, on the York–Scarborough line.
  • The North Yorkshire Moors Railway runs from nearby Pickering.

Parking

There is a large car park at The Grapes Inn for pub patrons. Otherwise, please park considerately at the roadside in the village — it's a working village on a main road, so keep driveways, farm accesses and passing places clear.

Food is served through the day — check the pub's own website or social media for current opening hours, menus and bookings.

Onward into the Moors

Dalby Forest and the North York Moors National Park begin just north of the village — the A170 is the natural approach road for the whole southern edge of the Moors.
